Our campers are made with a lightweight, highly durable, fibreglass outer shell, which allows for greater flexibility and play on the treacherous outback roads. The base of the camper is made from aluminium, which creates strength for the base, as it holds majority of the weight of certain internal accessories.
Some manufactures will try to play on the fact that a camper encapsulated with aluminium makes for a stronger camper, but this is simply not the case.

Travelander provides a lightweight (budget conscious) tray back camper, along with the (fully optioned) tray back camper and camper trailer. Many a time, we have been asked the big question. "Which campers on the market are the lightest"?

When considering the weight of a camper you need to consider, what accessories are provided in the camper. Our (budget) tray back camper is very lightweight, whereas our (fully optioned) tray back camper would hold a further 200 kilograms for the provision of two fridge / freezers, gas bottle, fire extinguisher, hot water system, 120 litre water tank and queen bed mattress. Our camper trailers are also made from the lightweight materials, but the requirement of a high density chassis system is a necessity for off-road travel.

There are many other items in our campers and camper trailers that compliment the whole design elements and the very reason why people love to travel with a Travelander. They are still lightweight and contain the most storage space available, than any other product in the market.
