Why an off-road tray back camper?
By purchasing either the Evron SC1 (budget camper) or the Evron SC2 (fully optioned) slide-on tray back camper, you can greatly broaden your touring destinations throughout Australia. Some, National Parks do not allow access to trailers and not to mention some of the down right nasty off-road tracks; that are just too tight of a squeeze to fit your trailers through. This is where some of the fun begins, for most of our keen adventurers.
The other great idea is for those who are (mad keen logo) on fishing. Why not place the ute back camper on the back of your 4WD ute and tow the fishing boat as well.
Or, for the simple reason that we have all discussed many a time before; lower fuel consumption.
And don't forget that you can still purchase a trailer chassis to place your tray back camper on, if you decide you want the use of a camper trailer as well.

So if you come across areas in your travels, that don't allow trailers and you have a 4WD ute; consider this. There are properties such as private stations, where you could leave your trailer and place the camper unit onto your ute tray instead. After you have seen the sights or camped a few nights, you can return to the station to pick-up your trailer and continue once again towing your camper trailer to other remote areas that are trailer friendly.
