The off-road dynamics of the GEO convert camper trailer have been enhanced by the use of our overall lightweight but solid construction and the use of high strength materials. The chassis rails are constructed out of 150 mm steel, which has been completely coated via the hot dip galvanising processes.

Your peace of mind is further assured with the premium choice of independent suspension, shock absorbers, an all terrain hitch and electric drum braking system, to name a few. All of this, so you can limit difficult situation and ensure easy maintenance and repair. Quite simply, we've gone further with our expertise and technology, so you can go much further off-road.

Our independent suspension systems do not have a solid axle therefore saving weight and allowing each side of the camper to follow the roads undulations with ease. The independent suspension increases stability and road holding ability when on the move, which allows for an easier tow and safe ride. This superiority in every respect creates outstanding performance and handling and agility for maximum travel standards on winding country roads and mountain passes.

Fitted with the premium cruisemaster brand, your first choice of independent suspension is coil; with an option of ordering the cruisermaster air instead.

Independent coil suspension

The cruisemaster coil independent suspension is not just another coil suspension. Sharing common parts with other cruisemaster products the product has a glowing heritage.

The design incorporates a special twin rate spring system. Initially the coil provides the springing, then as the coil takes up the loast a specially designed polyurethane spring guide comes into play. More than just a bump stop, this design registered feature provides a secondary higher spring rate for greater control at high loads. Get Utube footage or from vehiclecomponents.com.au

Independent air suspension

The cruisemaster air independent suspension has been developed specifically for caravans and trailer. The use of air springs has been known in the truck and bus industry for many years as a way of both protecting loads and even the road surface. This type of suspension absorbs bumps more efficiently, creating a smoother ride both on and off-road.

The load sharing suspension has many advantages over traditional coil or leaf spring products. The independent arms mean that bumps experienced on one side of the camper are not directly transferred to the opposite side. As the wheels ride over undulations they stay perpendicular to the road surface.

The air springs themselves are able to be adjusted to keep constant ride height no matter what load is being carried. In doing so the internal air pressure changes and so does the spring rate giving a perfect ride for all load conditions.

The control system for the air suspension provides for the ability to level the camper trailer or your vehicle across slopes when parked. The onboard air tank provides a ready supply of compressed air for pumping up tyres as well.

Literally riding on air, the suspension provides the best protection for your camper or vehicle. Get Utube footage or from vehiclecomponents.com.au

Shock absorbers

We have selected the Gabriel brand for our off-road shock absorbers, as it is the brand behind numerous technological 'firsts' in the suspension and ride control industry and is still considered an industry leader today.

Gas shock absorbers are fitted for many reasons, but good quality is a must for the harsh off-road conditions. By choosing a premium quality shock absorber you will improve your tyre life, handling, performance and overall control of the camper when travelling. The gabriel shock absorbers have been selected by our suspension suppliers to compliment the cruisemaster independent suspension, which aids longer life of all suspension parts.

All terrain hitch

The D035 Hitchmaster, is the ultimate off-road coupling and is a safety mechanism that is fitted to our chassis design. ADR legislation requires all couplings up to 3.5 tonnes to be 'quick release couplings' and must have a primary locking mechanism and an automatic secondary locking mechanism. The ADR also specifies minimum testing requirements. The D035 Hitchmaster, exceeds these requirements. The greatest benefits of the coupling would be the maximum articulation for off-road use, no locking pin to lose, no 50mm ball height limitations, and the low profile to avoid tailgates.

Electric brakes

The 10 inch electric brakes on your camper trailer are similar to the drum brakes on your vehicle. The basic difference is that your vehicle brakes are actuated by hydraulic pressure while your electric trailer brakes are actuated by an electromagnet.

Your trailer brakes are designed to work in synchronization with your tow vehicle brakes. So you must never use your tow vehicle or trailer brakes alone to stop the combined load.

  1. Electrically actuated brakes have several advantages over other brake actuation systems.
  2. They can be manually adjusted at the controller to provide the correct braking capability for varying load and road conditions.
  3. They can be modulated to provide more or less braking force, thus easing the brake load on the towing vehicle. They have very little lag time from the moment the tow vehicle's brakes are actuated until the trailer brakes are actuated.
  4. In an emergency situation, they can provide some braking independent of the tow vehicle.
